The latest in our ‘In Conversation With…’ virtual event series focused on the skills and jobs that will be created over the lifetime of the HS2 project.  Toby Perkins MP, Shadow Apprentices and Life-Long Learning Minister, and Neil Robertson, Chief Executive of the National Skills Academy for Rail were joined by High Speed Rail Group members Elena Gonzalez, Social Value and Legacy Manager, from EKFB and Shilpi Akbar, Head of Stakeholders and Communities, at BBV to consider and explore the programmes being put in place around the project, and the opportunities this is creating to maximise skills and jobs in the sector. Discussions went on to consider the social value and skills legacy HS2 is facilitating for the country, by providing the opportunity to train and upskill the next generation of young people who will deliver future infrastructure projects.
